treehouses as a dwarf apartment
Tree houses hold an extraordinary fascination for children. It has been like that and it always will be like that. You will come across no less than seven spectacular exemplars on the Stubai Stubai treehouse trail between the mid-station of the Schlick 2000 and the inn Vergör.
The path, designed with attention to detail and constructed with plenty of imagination, leads along an easily walkable and stroller-suitable route through an almost 5,000 m² forest area. Bridges, tunnels, slides and swings are at children’s disposal as they romp around the wood construction. What makes it even more special is the fact that the treehouses are actually a dwarf lodging - with everything a dwarf needs: a kitchen, bedroom, workshop and, not to forget, a treasury.
disc trail A wooden challenge
A slice made out of wood is to be conquered on the disc path in the adventure world Schlick. The family-friendly and stroller-suitable trail which takes you from the panorama lake through the spruce forest to the middle station Froneben, is not just lovely to look at.
Apart from inviting you into the beautiful nature scenery, it is also guaranteed to awaken your competition spirits. At several stations you have to "beat" the wooden disc, which you can get for one euro at the ticket office at the valley station. Meaning you have to be faster than the slice which rolls along the edge of the path! The circular trail takes about an hour and is one and a half kilometres long - so it's an easily accessible pleasure for the whole family.
Rafting for the whole family
Rafting in Stubai valley? Yes, indeed, with the amazing guides from S2S who master every rapid and who know the wild waters of the Ruetz like the back of their hand. The seven kilometer and one-and-a-half-hour-long tour is the heart of the tour program.
The refreshing rafting tour on the Ruetz is an exciting experience for both amateurs and pros. It goes without saying that you might get pretty wet which is why it is such a special adventure for kids. The meeting point and the office are located directly next to the Elfer lift in Neustift.
Even more highlights
The traditional cattle drive in the Stubai Valley takes place in mid to late September. This colorful festival marks the end of the grazing season and the return of the decorated animals to the valley. The Almabtrieb offers a great opportunity to experience regional customs and the lively atmosphere of the Stubaital and to enjoy Alpine tradition up close.
There are many highlights in the Stubai Valley. The Stubai Glacier impresses with glacier landscapes and winter sports opportunities. The picturesque surroundings offer great hiking and mountain tours, and the charming village of Neustift with its historical museum is also worth a visit. Families should not miss the experiences at the “Mutterbergalm”, and the “Stubai Super Card” offers numerous benefits and discounts.
