Museum ensemble on the Tyrolean fight for freedom

The Tyrol Panorama shows the Tyrolean people's legendary fight for freedom, which raged at the Bergisel a good 200 years ago. The exciting information site covers a spectacular 1,000 square metres on a hill near the Sill Gorge above Innsbruck. It was here that the insurgents, led by the legendary Tyrolean Andreas Hofer, won the third of the great Bergisel battles. The 360-degree circular painting is the largest work of art in Tyrol and takes viewers back to a dramatic time. The museum ensemble also houses the Kaiserjägermuseum, which is connected underground to the Tyrol Panorama.

Tip: Panorama circuit (2.2 km) around the Bergisel with magnificent views of Innsbruck.
